A Bit of Recognition
Wednesday, March 26, 2008 — John SavageI always like to recognize people whose interest in this blog I appreciate, so let me mention a few:
Commenter Frank brought the Original Dissent forum, now added to the blogroll here, to my attention. It’s a pretty active place with a lot of race-conscious commenters. If you enjoy Frank’s comments, you might want to stop by there.
Commenter Sophia may enjoy having a few of us tell her she’s not alone in some of the conflicts that hard-core traditionalists have in a modernist society. She has bared her soul more than most traditionalists, and it’s always nice to know that others have felt the same way, particularly about being misunderstood by the mainstream.
Congratulations to commenter Natalie for getting into college, where I’m sure she will be a star! I hope she will keep up her interest in politics as she has already been enthralled by the work of Fjordman, among others.
I haven’t seen the folks from the American Federalist Blog around much lately, but I see that’s because they’ve been consumed with a new project — The Institute for Balanced Government.
As you will have probably noticed, I have added the Kinist sites Kinism.net and Spirit Water Blood to the blogroll, in addition to my older Kinist favorites like Hearthstone and Cambria Will Not Yield. I also added a few British blogs a while back, such as Mr Smith’s Refusal and Fulham Reactionary. I am always pleased to recognize my commenters here, many of whom really deserve to be called co-contributors. I think we should be a group who all know each other and are aware of each other’s writings at other sites, not just here. So I feel like I owe it to commenters to encourage others to check out all their work. Enjoy!

OD was attacked and its original community broken up. Many of those originals have returned but sadly not all of them.
I was not one of those originals, though I did used to browse the old site.
The site seems to have originally been less racialist than it is now. I… might have changed the atmosphere there somewhat to be more racialist, since several of the older folks who post less frequently than I do don’t seem to be as racialist, though certainly leaning in that direction. There’s a difference between preferring to be with one’s own and ah taking it a step further as perhaps younger males are prone to do…
Christianity is strong there to be sure.
You can see a lot of dumb posts by me there
The nice thing about sites like this one is the old posts fade down the memory hole. Whereas at OD, they’re more readily accessible imo, at least until the next attack destroys them.
League of the South rebellion blog was recently attacked again btw…

John,
Thanks for the link-up. It’s no comfort, for sure, but my family has been curious as to my whereabouts as well. There’s a struggle for balance there, too, which is just the way it goes sometimes.
Best Regards,
MT
